On 24 June, 2019, Prof. Antonietta Capotondi from University of Colorado, USA gave lectures on ENSO diversity, precursors and impacts. She introduced ENSO and its diversity, equatorial dynamics and predictability of ENSO diversity, decadal modulation of ENSO diversity and climate change.

After the lectures, trainees did practical exercises under the guidance of Prof. Antonietta Capotondi. Then the trainees attended the activities of Forum for Early Career Scientists. Mr. Chowdhury Siraj Uddin Md. Babar, Mr. Tong Bo, Ms. Ramli Reny, Ms. Ngai Sheau Tieh, Ms. Calde Diana Mae and Mr. Sultan Shahzad gave trainee reports.
